A Tribute to the Rolling Boulder (from Raiders of the Lost Ark) This game is a tribute to the rolling boulder of the 1981 movie Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark and was developed in 4 days for the Assembly 07 gamedev competition. Ever since the movie came out, aspiring archaeologists have been trying to disgrace the honor of the golden idols of fertility in the jungle. One day, Mr. Rolling Boulder receives a letter where he is asked to make an appearance to help protect that honor.

Played with the mechanics of a reversed Donkey Kong, the player steers a rolling boulder on a single screen with different platforms and ladder. Mr. Rolling Boulder can move around and jump, crushing enthusiastic archaeologists who enter at the bottom of the screen, awarding extra points for combos. After a while, the Indiana Joneses will be swarming the screen, climbing ladders and clinging to the golden idols at the top of the screen. This depletes the honor meter and when it is completely empty, the game is over. [source:mobygames]
