The BEER War! In this shareware release, you manage a beer company against nine other companies. There are ten towns to sell beer in. Build factories, build depots, launch new brands and dominate the cutthroat competition.

Each company starts with one brand, a 2% marketshare and much of the playing field open. Companies that run out of money go out of business. The game goes on until one of the companies has 60% of the marketshare. Usually there are two or three companies left, and town markets saturated with brands, when this is a viable possibility.

The gameplay is a top-down strategy game that works in a turn-based manner. Up to two human players can play in the full registered version.

You can not sabotage or affect the other companies directly, but you can affect the marketplace by how much beer -- and what kind of beer -- you sell in a town and what prices you sell them at. Towns with higher wages are more apt to accept a higher-quality, more expensive beer than towns that are more working-class. [source:mobygames]
