Caribbean Riddle A tale as old as time. A beautiful lady of noble birth. A handsome but poor journeyman. They have fallen in love but her father refused to allow her to marry him as he is poor and of low birth so he sets out to earn fame that will guarantee him a title and fortune. He has gotten lucky and found enough treasure to buy his own ship. Now he must gather wealth that he may win his lady love's hand in marriage.

Caribbean Riddle is, mostly, a match three game. To make a match, swap two elements so there is a row of three or more of the same kind. These will then disappear from the board. The object is to make a match over every square on the board so as to clear all the tiles. Once all the tiles are cleared, you then have to make matches to lower a treasure chest to the bottom of the board to clear the level.

If you make a match of four of the same elements, you will create a crab. If you swap the crab with an element, the crab will clear all the elements and tiles of a horizontal row. If you make a match of five of the same elements, you will create a sea star. If you swap a sea star with an element, the sea star will clear all elements and tiles in a horizontal row and vertical column.

After so many levels, you play a bonus level. Here, you click two tiles to try to find fish that match. When you match a certain fish, it will swim off the screen and you will receive a power-up. The first power-up is called the electric eel, although the picture is of an electric ray. When you use this power-up, it will clear what ever square you place it on as well as several squares in a diagonal line. The second power-up is the shell. When you use it on an element, that element will be cleared everywhere on the board. [source:mobygames]
