Emerald Tale Emerald Tale is a color-matching game where the player must clear a path and guide a blue furry creature to an exit. Colored rune tiles have to be moved on the game field to make matches of three or more of the same color. New runes appear on the field when a move don't produce a match. When no more moves are possible, the game is over.

Special tiles have unique powers. A rainbow rune can match any other tile. A bomb rune explodes obstacles when matched to two or more runes of the same color.

Objects scattered on the field can also be collected. Gemstones fill up magical tablets, and coins can be used to pay for access to new locations. The creature can equip up to three magical objects that give a boost to some aspect of the game (the Leprechaun's coin, for example, increases by 35% the number of rainbow runes in the game).

Other critters on the board give information and hints about hidden objects or alternate portals to exit the level. [source:mobygames]
