In this tactical game the player controls either a state from the Central Powers or the Entente and their African colonies and tries to win World War I.
The game is played on a tactical map showing Europe. This map is divided into provinces, e.g. Berlin or Normandy. The player can use several display modes in which the map shows attributes of the provinces, e.g. terrain or economic power. The movements of soldiers are ease to perform, they have to be dragged to their destination with the mouse. The combat is calculated by the computer after each turn.
The game has a detailed online help which explains gameplay mechanics and offers historical background information. In the shareware version is one scenario included which starts in 1914.
