This is the first expansion for Final Fantasy XI Online. It includes 3 advanced jobs (Samurai, Ninja and Dragoon) and provides more than 40 new locations, new NPCs, new beasts to summon (Ramuh, Ifrit, Shiva, Carbuncle and Titan) and quests.
Rise of the Zilart was included with the American release of Final Fantasy Online (both Windows and PS2), but was released separately in Japan (Windows), since those players had been playing the game for a full year before it was available in North America. In Europe, the Windows base game was released with this expansion and the second included. The Xbox 360 version launched in Europe and North America includes this expansion along with the other two.
