Game Classification

Matching Pair is a simple card-matching game featuring an anime-inspired cartoon art style and two gameplay modes. In normal mode, a grid of cards are shown face down, and the player must choose two cards and see if they match. If they do, they are removed from the board; if not, they are turned back over again. There is no time limit, and the player moves on to the next stage after clearing all cards from the board. Every three boards, the player unlocks a new card and artwork in the gallery.

There is also a speed mode, which the player is briefly shown all the cards, which are then hidden. The player must match all the cards as quickly as possible, before the timer runs out. Both modes can be played by either one or two players. [source:mobygames]
