She is a Shadow Hanna is a reformed thief formerly known as "The Shadow". After her partner and boyfriend was killed in mysterious circumstances, she decided to retire and raise Adam, their child, away from a life of crime and violence. However, an old acquaintance kidnaps the boy and forces Hannah to use her special skills in a series of burglary assignments.

She is a Shadow is a hidden object game, where the player assumes the role of a thief stealing assorted valuables from several locations. The objective is to find and collect all the items listed on the pages of a notepad at the left side of the screen, within a time limit. The remaining minutes to solve each scene are shown on a digital chronometer at the top of the screen. The time constraints can be turned off with the options menu at any point in the game, by selecting between Hard and Normal mode.. List items can be clicked directly to show a picture of the object and help the player, but this action removes some time from the stopwatch.

There are mini-games at the start of each chapter, presented as windows overlaid on top of the background. They can be skipped by clicking on a green ticket at the bottom, with time deducted as a penalty. In the safe puzzle, the goal is to turn the dial by clicking and dragging with the mouse, hitting the correct numbers until the bolt descends to the bottom and the door opens. In the alarm system mini-game, the objective is to guess the correct three-digit combination, by entering the numbers and reading the output of a hacking computer. The computer shows when the number is higher or lower than the correct one, by appending a + and - sign at the end of each combination attempt. In the lock picking mini-game, the interior of a lock is shown and the goal is to use the lock pick to raise all the pins to unlock it, controlling the tool with the mouse and moving it sideways. In the circuits puzzle, the objective is to burn all the glowing circuits to disable the alarm. In the security system mini-game, a series of buttons have to be pressed in the correct order to turn off the alarm. To accomplish this, the player has to follow the entangled cables from one side to the other and press the connected lights and buttons. [source:mobygames]
