Game Classification

Tropicabana is a tile matching and casino game with a musical theme. The objective of each level is to break hexagonal slots by matching three or more musical instruments over them within a time limit. Matches of four in a straight line clear an entire row. Randomly, mouses invade the grid to restore broken slots, but can be exterminated with mouse clicks.

Each successful match moves the applause meter that charges the power-ups buttons at the bottom of the screen. The cherry bomb explodes a group of 7 tiles. The lightning bolt electrocutes twelve random tiles. The laser destroys all the tiles of one type. The drink shuffles the tiles on the board. The loudspeaker moves the applause meter for 30 seconds. The clock gives extra time.

At the end of each level the player receives an amount of money based on the review of the performance. The cash can be spent on upgrades that give better power-ups. The money can also be gambled on the featured casino games: blackjack, roulette and the slot machine. [source:mobygames]
