BookWormZ BookWormZ is a freeware two-player (whereby one player can be the computer) word game.

While playing a ten minute game, your goal is to create words by combining the letters in the playfield into a chain. Once you created a word, it will vanish and the free space will be filled by new letters falling in from the top.

The points you get per word depending on how long the word is and what letters are used (difficult letters like "Q" or "Z" giving way more points then "E" or "I").

When the time runs out, the player with the highest score wins.

The game offers two game modes, Staggered and Square, which differs in the layout of the playfield; a hint option, which will list all possible moves and even allows to select the move you want; a "Check Spelling" button to check if the current selection is a valid word; and a "Meaning" button, which will open a browser window to look up the word on four selectable Internet based dictionaries.
