Adam's Venture: Episode 2 - Solomon's Secret After escaping the crumbling Lost Garden of Eden, Adam Venture and Evelyn Appleby were taken to Jerusalem and apprehended by their employers - the Clairvaux Corporation - for interrogation. The two heroes need to find a way out of imprisonment and discover the truth behind the corporation's suspicious actions. All leads point to the very heart of the Holy City, where Clairvaux hopes to unearth another fabled biblical monument, the Temple of Solomon...

Adam's Venture: Episode 2 - Solomon's Secret is a third-person action-adventure made with Unreal Engine 3, set in 1928 Jerusalem. You play as explorer Adam Venture, accompanied most of the time by his girlfriend Evelyn. Your goal is to proceed through the game world and solve various puzzles. When solved, most of them give you access to the next area (e.g. opening a door or a hatch), but in an instance you will also have to collect a set number of items scattered around. The puzzles range from simple mechanical ones like moving crates to reach higher platforms, pushing levers to arrange objects and lockpicking to logical text problems, deciphering symbols and timed disk-aligning puzzles, which are more complicated. Adam can carry only one item, which can be used in the same area. Needed items are always highlighted by green glitters.

Compared to the first episode, Solomon's Secret features more cutscenes and outdoor locations. In the action segments, Adam must climb walls, leap over obstacles and crouch through small passages. Dying is a rare phenomenon, as the game usually prevents you from falling to certain death and there is no fighting. However, in some specific places you can still kill Adam by plunging, either intentionally or mistakenly into a chasm. The game only has an autosaving feature: you can either continue from the last checkpoint or start a new game. [source:mobygames]
