Anka Anka is a modest boy living a secluded life with his parents in the countryside. One day, his mother disappears after going to the city, and soon his father also vanishes mysteriously, leaving the young man by himself. Anka decides to search for his missing parents, traveling through the land to reunite with them.

Anka is an adventure and hidden object hybrid game, where the main objective is to complete a series of tasks listed at the bottom of the screen on scenes related to the plot. Like in most point-and-click titles, the player has to collect objects from the scenery and store them on the inventory slots always visible at the top interface. The tools have to be dragged and dropped on specific and logical portions of the screen, to perform an action or complete one of the pending tasks. In some cases, the required items are stored inside containers whose contents appear overlaid on the screen to be manipulated. Some scenery fixtures have to be clicked to move them and reveal one of the hidden objects. The cursor has a context sensitive icon, showing a set of gears when hovering over an interactive hotspot. The hint button gives a clue about one of the tasks, but takes some time to recharge after use.

There are several mini-games found throughout the journey, taking place on a separate screen where the player has to move blocks of hay to remove a number of eggs from the henhouse, complete a jigsaw puzzle, find all the scrambled words from a recipe, find matching sets of letters in a memory game, unscramble the letters of a sentence, play a board game against a mosquito, guide a small frog through a pond maze, and complete other similar challenges. These puzzles can be optionally skipped after a few minutes, and replayed from the main menu after being completed and unlocked in the main game. [source:mobygames]
