Game Classification

In Lemming Rampage, the player uses a catapult to throw lemmings into the air. By using objects such as trampolines, jetpacks and accelerator pads, the lemming proceeds through the levels. The game has 7 stages that are subsequently unlocked by reaching given meters in one of the levels of the previous stage.

In some levels lemmings can die when touching spikes or falling through the ground. When a lemming dies, the player can send it to the Lemming Heaven, which is the online highscore list. Therefore, players from all over the world compete with each other.

The controls of the game make heavy use of the accelerometer of the iPhone in order to control a lemming's behavior in the air. A so-called timeshift mode allows the player to stop time whenever it is necessary and to rewind out of dangerous situations.

Players get medals for reaching certain meters in the levels: bronze, silver and gold. Bronze unlocks the next stage of levels and silver unlocks a new lemming skin. The gold medal unlocks a so-called menu achievement that lets the menus of the game grow by adding new eye-candy items and nice gimmicks. There is a hidden Night Mode than can be enabled which gives the player three additional master levels. [source:mobygames]
