Real Racing is a racing simulation game. The game features five different game modes (Career, Time Trial, Online League, Quick Race and Local Multiplayer Challenges). The Career mode offers 76 events total. The player can choose from 48 different cars in 4 classes (Sedan, Hatch, Muscle and Exotic)

Despite of the the iPhone's technical limitations the developers have opted for a realistic approach when it comes to graphics and sound. The game play itself also falls more into the simulation racing genre. Different road surfaces have an effect on speed and handling. It is also possible to tweak the car's settings and turn on/off such features as manual/automatic acceleration and brake assistance.

The player can opt to steer the car using the touch screen or the accelerometer. that's played using the iPhone's accelerometer. In the later case the player holds the iPhone like a steering wheel and can steer the car using actual steering motions. Braking is always handled by touching the touch screen with a thumb. The game menus are also controlled through the touch screen.

A free "lite" version is also available under the name Real Racing GTi. This version has fewer game modes and only allows the player to pick various Volkswagen GTis to race in. [source:mobygames]
