TRON Released as a free game in promotion of the TRON movie sequel Tron: Legacy, this game features both a light cycle mode, and a tank mode. Both versions are available in singleplayer mode and both were available as multiplayer for online play initially. There are also some promotional information for the movie tie-in such as information about the soundtrack by Daft Punk, and information about the movie.

The single player version of light cycles consist of levels where all other light cycles has to be destroyed in order to continue. The player has a limited number of lives, and have to survive a few waves of AI respawns in order to complete the level. The bikes can run over power-ups to gain access to improvements such as longer light trails, faster speed, and temporary "god mode" where the player can run through walls. Online game featured similar gameplay except that the game never ended, and all players respawned as long as they were connected.

The tank game is a puzzle game in single player mode where the player needs to get to the exit by destroying enemies, items that block the path, and reaching switches that opens closed areas. The tanks has two primary weapons with unlimited ammo, as well as a few limited ones that can only be found in power-ups. Multiplayer version featured only a death match type against other players.

Online playing were always team mode, where each player selected one of three factions. The only distinction between the teams are their colors, green, cyan, and orange. Each point go towards an persistent overall faction score. The multiplayer servers were shut down, and the features were removed from the app late in 2011. [source:mobygames]
